Green Onions
in Basket

You never know where you'll
find a garden in China. Here, in a sunny spot, I find green onions
growing in a basket. The idea of growing green onions in a basket,
on top of crates and plastic, on the side of the street, causes
me to think again about the resourcefullness of the people I meet
in the villages.
